The automobile industry has become one of the pillar industries of Guangzhou automotive industry cluster is the development trend of world automobile industry, the advantages of cluster is effective in promoting the development of the automobile industry. The formation of Guangzhou automobile industry is a development opportunity for Guangzhou automobile industry, has great significance in the future economic development of Guangzhou. As a result, how to further enhance the competitiveness of Guangzhou automotive industry cluster is the top priority for Guangzhou. This article is based on the theories of the industrial cluster and the competitiveness of the industrial cluster, has a deep investigation and research on competitiveness of Guangzhou Automobile Industry Cluster; then, makes a comprehensive study of Guangzhou automobile industry cluster competitiveness by qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and comparative analysis, and gives countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of Guangzhou automobile industrial cluster.This article is divided into four parts:The first part summarizes the theories of industrial cluster and the industrial cluster competitiveness, analyzes the concept connotations of industrial cluster and industrial cluster competitiveness, explain the characteristics of industrial cluster and the sources of industrial cluster competitiveness. These theories are ready for the below analysis of Guangzhou automobile industrial cluster.In the second part introduces the history and present situation of Guangzhou automobile industrial, summarizes the development trends of world automobile industry which Guangzhou automobile industrial cluster is facing on. SWOT analysis is used to study the Guangzhou automobile industrial cluster which includes development advantages analysis, weaknesses analysis, the opportunities and challenges analysis.The third part is the evaluation of the Guangzhou automobile industry Cluster competitiveness. The qualitative analysis is based on Porter's diamond model, analyses Guangzhou automobile industry cluster competitiveness from four aspects, which are factors, demand conditions, competitive environment and relevant supporting industries. After a review of relevant literature, an evaluation index system of Guangzhou automobile industry cluster competitiveness is established, and index weight is calculated via AHP; then Guangzhou automobile industry cluster competitiveness is scored by using fuzzy evaluation method.
