With the development of automobile manufacturing , the quality requirement of the product also increased highly. In this context, increasing productivity of information technology and automation level, to improve the accuracy and reliability of measurement and control system become a priority.?Traditional industrial control computer (IPC), although it is possible to achieve a certain extent to fit the requirements of industrial automation, but the harsh environment in the factory, in the strong oil, large dust, multi-vibration conditions, the IPC has high failure rate. At the same time, the IPC use a similar structure and accessories with common PC. It is expensive and not conducive to large-scale use and promotion.? To solve this problem, a system based on the embedded microprocessor was introduced, which can set input and output unit, operation control unit, display unit in one. The embedded system provides a reliable software and hardware platform for industrial production and secondary development.This thesis describes the background, design methods and specific application of the embedded platform. Specific content includes:Firstly, the development status of industrial control system was concluded; the background and meaning of the servo control system based on embedded system was introduced; demand analysis of embedded control system and the goal of hardware and software are presented. Core chip is identified as S3C2440 (based on ARM920T core) which is supported by Samsung. Based on this, system architechture and development flow are shown.Secondly, embedded system software design and implementation is introduced. The current popular embedded operating system is concluded and the reason to select the Windows CE is presented, for Windows CE 5.0 can provide good stability and real-time performance and can meet the needs of the industrial monitoring and control. At the same time, Windows CE 5.0 operating system migration are discussed in detail, including the Bootloader development, the kernel features, configuration and driver development. At last, design ideas and the overall framework of the application software of the embedded system are interpreted. Functional analysis of each specific module is also given.Finally, the conclusion and expectation are given, the inadequacies of the system is analyzed .The details of future work are also presented.
