The Application And Research Of Fieldbus Technology Based On FPGA

As a version of PROFIBUS, PROFIBUS-DP integrates the former's main technological feactures, so it has great market potential as well as been applied into the manufacture automation field of our country extensively. However, the current domestic research of DP fieldbus is limited in the field of application and the majority of related products are designed in the basis of chips which provided by foreign manufacturers, so it is difficult for domestic automation industry to grasp its core technology, which phenomenon restricts the national application of this technology. Therefore, study of this protocol is of great significance,the R&D of related products attracts concerns of a growing number of scholars and engineering staffs.Along with the development of PLD device and EDA technology,fieldbus communication chip based on FPGA is feasible to meet the requirement of real-time high-speed data communication.In this paper, design of PROFIBUS-DP slave staton chip based on FPGA is studied.The main work has been done as follows:1. The top-down method is proposd for the R&D of DP slave station chip according to FPGA design cycle.The function of three level-modules including physical layer,Field Data Link layer and user layer is performed. Then, in order to achieve the function of three level-module.each of them is divided into several functional sub-modules.2. In the design of physical layer module, auto-tunning baudrate module is adopted to check the baudrate of serial data transmission in bus and UART transception module achieves the data conversion between serial and parallel data.3. Field Data Link layer module consists of four sub-modules. FDL reception logic module and achieve the discompositon of received frames,as well as FDL transmission logic module does composition of transmitted frames;FDL data processing module anlysises accroding to units of frame and exchanges data with various sub-modules of buffer module.
