Study On Modular PROFIBUS-DP Slave

With the development of the control technology and the information technology, the fieldbus becomes the focus in the automation field. And as one of the IEC standard, PROFIBUS-DP has been wildly used in the process control field in China.Modular PROFIBUS-DP slave is studied in this thesis. Modular method is taken to design the PROFIBUS-DP slave, which is divided into 5 categories, the main module, the switch signal input sub modular, the switch signal output sub modular, the analog signal input sub modular and the analog signal output sub modular. The slave connects to the PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus through the ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) SPC3 (Siemens PROFIBUS Controller). And the slave also can take the fuzzy self-tuning PID control with the fuzzy matrix table which is pre-calculated. The hardware of these modules are introduced, and flow chart of the software on the main module are given.
