As the rapid development of science and technology and the growing diversity of customer needs, manufacturing are facing intense international competition. In order to produce low-cost products, meet the individual requirements of customers and increase market competition ability, Virtual NC machining simulation technology become an indispensable and important part of the modern manufacturing technology research. In this paper, by using the combination of theory and practice, and based on the powerful CAD / CAM function of UG platform, the influencing factors of the geometric and physical simulation system for virtual NC Milling are studied, and the Virtual NC Milling geometry and physics simulation system is proposed based on UG.The system of this paper is built mainly based on UG platform, and the Virtual NC geometry and physics simulation system is seamlessly integrated through the secondary development technology of UG software and VC++ MFC technology. The method and steps of creation of the virtual machine, the standard parts library of machine fixture and virtual machining environment are proposed. Ultimately the virtual NC simulation is realized by creating the standard parts library, optimizing the processing parameters, and solving the problem of combination of geometric and physical simulation during the process of simulation. Among them, the virtual machine motion simulation and the accuracy of parameter optimization is the key technology of the successful implementation of system. In this paper the virtual simulation is completed by using UG ISV software modules to configure virtual machine and post-processing. Also milling multi-objective and varying parameter optimization model are established by constructing the combination segment of machining characteristics and processing parameters are optimized. by genetic algorithms.The developed Virtual NC milling geometry and physics simulation system can realize the integration of geometric simulation and physical simulation integration and complete the processing environment choice for different process parameters. It have strong ability of human-computer interaction. and operate facilely. Thereby, the system can enhance production efficiency and processing accuracy, reduce their production cost, and increase the efficiency and market competitiveness of corporation. So it has a practical significance for NC machining technology development.
