Node B functions cannot be validated before the transmission equipment put into commissioning. We can judge whether Node B is powered on and whether the board is running normally. Therefore, one joint debugging is required after the commissioning is started. To improve the on-site engineering quality and to go as few sites as possible, a single-site detection tool is developed. Before the transmission commissioning, it can provide the analog RNC and CN functions, implementing the real cell calling together with Node B. During the call, it can give the signaling tracing, to directly locate the hardware fault or software data fault. It greatly helps to decrease the cost of the network construction. This single-site detection tool can take the multi-core processor as the core processor. It takes advantage of different cores to deal with the user plane and control plane of RNC. The tool provides the following functions:1. Connecting with Node B via Iub interface, including receiving measurement information reported by Node B, access control, mobility management, radio resource management and control command, FP and ATM transmission management.2. Providing MML function via the O&M console, including the configuration management, fault management, performance management, security management, system monitoring. It provides the agent for Node O&M.3. Providing real CS call access function. As a tool, it has the future development. For example, it can be developed into Mini-RNC, to enable 3G services with Home-Node B in the shopping centers, exhibition halls, and office buildings. Or, after the further integration with Home-Node B, this tool can serve as the test device for a 3G mobile. In addition, only after some change on the software , it can serve as the test tool for RNC and CN.
