Because of its outstanding opening and interoperability, LonWorks field bus gradually becomes one of the most competitive field buses at present. The core of realizing LonWorks technology is the development of smart LonWorks smart node. As a single processor, Neuron chip can't accomplish high real-time data processing, and can't meet needs of field devices requiring majority in control.The structure of a host-based LonWorks intelligent node is development and design after researching the kernel of the LonWorks field bus technology which are the Neuron chip, Neuron C language, LonTalk protocol, fully develop own superiority on dealing with data and meeting real-time monitoring requirements. The thesis describes hardware and software development processes of LonWorks intelligent nodes which based on PIC18F452 and dsPIC30F4011, and uses SPI serial bus and parallel I/O interfaces. As the special unique of train networks, design and build train control test platform based on LonWorks technology. LonWorks network of test platform consist of train-level and vehicle-level LON bus, to temperature control, door control and other objects for monitoring. Then we go on with the relevant communication experiments and basically achieved the designing purpose.At last, this thesis analyzes performance of intelligent nodes and network with configuration properties, and chooses a reasonable allocation of properties to improve LonWorks network performance. By research and development of the train LonWorks intelligent node on test platform, and networking for future practical train LonWorks network and lay a solid theoretical basis.
