Among numerous field bus, the LonWorks that was developed by American Echelon Company in 90s shows the special advantages, it has the most extensive application area in the several field bus control systems.At the same time, along with the computer, the Internet and communications technology rapid development, embedded system technology has developed rapidly. With small size, low power dissipation, high performance, depend ability and outstanding characteristics of the sector application, the embedded system at present has been widely used. Thereby enhancing the LonWorks node data processing capability, but also enhances the real-time performance of application systems. So developing software and hardware product with LonWorks field bus technology and applying them into control projects is one of the key research directions for automatic control.Combined with LonWorks technology and embedded technology, the paper has developed a host - based node, and according to the research goal and the duty, these several functional modules are designed as following steps.First of all, through the further understanding of embedded operating systems, this paper chooses theμC/OS-Ⅱoperating system. It investigates thoroughly the work mechanism of theμC/OS-Ⅱkernel. On the foundation and considering of the request and characteristics of the ARM7 platform, this dissertation transplants theμC/OS-Ⅱkernel on the ARM7 platform.Then, the paper realizes the communication between LonWorks network and the host. Regarding to intelligent node module, this paper uses the ShortStatck technology, and realizes the data communication between the host and the LonWorks. In theμC/OS-Ⅱoperating system ShortStack drive and ShortStack API are realized. On this basis, the fourth chapter applies the developed intelligent node to intelligent illumination systems.Finally, in order to realize system's monitoring, management, maintenance as well as information communication between other computer systems, the node uses DDE Server to constitute upper-layer observation and control application; and uses the configuration software to establish a user interface, and realizes the superior machine to the scene real-time monitoring.
