Clinical Study On Treatment Of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion (Blood Lumbago And Low Back Pain) With

Purpose: To study into the clinical efficacy of lumbar disc protrusion patients(qi-stagnancy and blood stasis) cured by deep acupuncture treatment by filiform needles and provide evidences for remarkable advantage of deep acupuncture on this disease.Materials and methods: 70 lumbar disc protrusion patients(qi-stagnancy and blood stasis) were divided into the Chinese materia medica group and the acupuncture group,35 in each one. The Chinese group was cured by Xuefuzhuyu Pill twice one day and the acupuncture group lumbar2, waist 3, Shenshu, Mingmen, Yangyangguan and Ashi acupoints deep by filiform needles combining remote area acupoints once one day for consecutive 9 days. Grade the disease before the treatment and in the middle and last period and do statistic analysis.result: 1. The subjective symptom and strainght-leg raising test and daily life of the material medica group marks: 1.17±1.043、0.09±0.284、2.37±1.800; the acupuncture group:1.14±1.004、0.11±0.323、2.49±1.915, has no statistic meaning.(P>0.05) 2. After the treatment, the person number of material medica group in totally cured, prominent efficacy, normal efficacy, no efficacy is 3, 7, 13, 12; The person number of acupuncture group in totally cured, prominent efficacy, normal efficacy, no efficacy is 13, 10, 8, 4. The total efficacy of acupuncture is 88.6% and the material medica group is 77.1%. 1. 3. After the treatment, the grade of acupuncture group in subjective symptom and strainght-leg raising test and daily life before the treatment is 1.17±1.043、0.09±0.284、2.40±1.802;after the treatment is 6.49±2.571、1.29±0.622、11.00±3.694 which has statistic meaning.(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1. Both oral Xuefuzhuyu Pill and deep acupuncture treatment by filiform needles can cure lumbar disc protrusion. 2. Deep acupuncture treatment by filiform needles has better efficacy than oral Xuefuzhuyu Pill. 3. Compared with oral Xuefuzhuyu soup treatment, deep acupuncture treatment by filiform needles is an better option to cure lumbar disc protrusion.
