This paper describes the recent developments in the studies for career self-concept , including the backgrounds on which this studies grew up, the definition of career self-concept, the relation between career self-concept and career choice and career development, the development stages of career self-concept, the forming and developing ways of career self-concept. Taking grade three students in senior high school as subjects, the self-compiled Career Self-Concept Questionnaire on Grade Three Students in Senior High School and the self-compiled Questionnaire on Major Choice in College Entrance Examination of Grade Three Students in Senior High School as measuring instruments , This paper discusses the career self-concept of grade three students in senior high school and its' influence to the major choice in college entrance examination. The results indicate:1. There are different development levels in career material self, career social self and career spiritual self, which make up of career self-concept of grade three students in senior high school.2. The gender factor makes significant difference in career material self of grade three students in senior high school.3. There are significant differences between the key high school and common high school ,so are the urban high school and rural high school , in the career self-concept of grade three students in senior high school.4. The career self-concept of grade three students in senior high school has a close positive connection with the clear knowledge of major choice in college entrance examination, and show better predictability on the major choice in college entrance examination.
