In September 2014,the State Council promulgated the "Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Examination and Enrollment System".The document pointed out that it is necessary to enhance the autonomy and choice of subjects for ordinary high school students,reform the setting of examination subjects,and officially launch a new round of college entrance examination reform.In April 2019,Chongqing promulgated the "Chongqing Implementation Plan for Deepening the Comprehensive Reform of Examination and Enrollment in Ordinary Colleges and Universities",which clearly stipulates that the comprehensive reform of the new college entrance examination will be implemented from the first-year high school students enrolled in the fall of 2018,and the "3+1+2" model will be adopted.This reform stipulates that in addition to the three subjects of Chinese,mathematics,and foreign languages,which are unified in the college entrance examination,students need to choose one subject from the two subjects of physics and history,and then choose one subject from the four subjects of chemistry,biology,geography,and ideology and politics.Choose 2 subjects as elective subjects to take the test.The new college entrance examination meets the requirements of the new era for the quality of talent training,and subject selection is the core content of the new college entrance examination,which is a breakthrough point for comprehensive reforms in the field of education.As the third batch of comprehensive reform pilot areas in Chongqing,there are few related studies on the "3+1+2" subject selection model.Given that the actual situation of each province is different,just imitating the experience of the pilot areas that have implemented the college entrance examination reform is not possible.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore the current situation of independent subject selection by ordinary high school students in Chongqing under the background of the new college entrance examination.This research mainly adopts the method of questionnaire survey,interview and literature research,and takes the students and teachers of three ordinary high schools in Chongqing as the research objects,so as to investigate the actual situation of students' self-selected subjects and the guidance work of school selection of subjects in ordinary high schools in Chongqing.development.The student questionnaire mainly focuses on five aspects: students' understanding of the new college entrance examination,the basic situation of subject selection,the influencing factors when selecting subjects,the difficulties encountered when selecting subjects,and the help they hope to get when selecting subjects.There are the following problems in subject selection: high school students' self-cognition is not clear,high school students have insufficient understanding of the new college entrance examination subject selection plan,high school students' independent consideration of subject selection is not comprehensive,and high school students' subject selection guidance needs cannot be met.The main reasons are the weak awareness of students choosing subjects independently,the lack of awareness of the importance of subject selection by schools,teachers,and parents,the need to improve the professional quality of teachers' guidance on subject selection,and the lack of guarantee measures for subject selection in schools.In this regard,the author puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the school level,the teacher level,the parent level and the student level.Mainly include: improving the school's subject selection service,highlighting the dominant position of students in subject selection;improving teachers' ability to guide subject selection and establishing a team of high-quality teachers;Strengthen parents' participation in the new college entrance examination,and work together to promote students' self-development;enhance students' ability to choose subjects independently,and strengthen students' confidence in the implementation of subject selection.
