| Objective:To analyze the possible factors affecting the prognosis of patients after radical resection. To evaluate the strength of prognostic factors on gastric cancer patients after radical resection. Methods:From January 2006 to December 2007,a total of 58 patients with gastric cancer after radical operation, were included in this study. The statistical analyze were used SPSS 18.0 statistic software.Survival rates were calculated by Kaplan-Meier curve method, univariate analysis was done through Log-rank, and the relative prognostic importance of the parameters was investigated using the COX regression analysis. All tests were performed at the 0.05 level of significances. Results:From the univariate analysis, tumor diameter, Borrmann type, histological type, the TNM clinical stage, operation methods, adjuvant chemotherapy, were found to be significantly associated with the cumulative survival rate.Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the TNM clinical stage, Borrmann type, adjuvant chemotherapy were the independent prognostic factors for gastric cancer patients after radical resection. The TNM clinical stage was the most important prognostic factor. Conclusion:The TNM clinical stage, Borrmann type, adjuvant chemotherapy were the independent prognostic factors for the patients with gastric cancer after radical resection. |
