Effect Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction On The Prognosis Of Patients With Cerebral Infarction

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Buyang Huanwu decoction on patients with cerebral infarction.Methods 89 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups,45 patients in treatment group and 44 in control group. The patients in control group were treated with western conventional treatment, such as the mitigation of brain edema, improving microcirculation, thrombolytic, anticoagulation, dilation of blood vessels, anti-vascular spasm, nourish brain cells, etc. The patients in treatment group were treated with Chinese proprietary BYHWD for 30 days according to the patient's condition. The differences between two groups were compared including neurological deficit, hemorheology, blood lipid, etc. Results After treatment for 30 days. The total effective rate in treatment group was 86.6%; in control group, the total effective rate was 63.6%. The differences of indicators between two groups were statistically significant, including cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein, platelet aggregation, fibrinogen, whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, CT value and the edema area around the lesions (P<0.05).Conclusion Buyang Huanwu decoction had a significant effect on patients with cerebral infarction, not only can significantly improve the symptoms of neurological impairment, but also can significantly improve the patient's blood rheology and reduce blood lipids in patients. Effect is significant, worthy to be widely promoted.
