To investigate the situation of understanding hospice knowledge by medical professionals in Meizhou, and the medical staff, patients, families and the community's attitude towards hospice care. To analyze the influencing factors of health care knowledge and attitudes of hospice care and acceptance of patient, family and social towards hospice care. In order to provide reference for developing hospice services with local characteristics in Meizhou.1, Design the questionnaire:according to the purpose of this research, based on references, two questionnaires named "knowledge of hospice care" and the "attitude of patients and their families and society towards hospice care." were designed. 2, The establishment of objects:500 health care were selected randomly in Meizhou as samples, and at last 450 valid questionnaires were received;1000 patients and their families and the general public were selected randomly as samples, and 800 valid questionnaires were recieved. 3, Statistical analysis:using descriptive statistics, t test, ANOVA, chi-square test, Person correlation analysis, non-conditional Logistic regression analysis.1.1500 persons accepted and filled out the questionnaire, and 1,250 valid questionnaires were received, accounting to 83.3% of all filled questionaires.2. Comparison of knowledge and attitudes of health care to hospice care in Meizhou. Scores of doctors'knowledge and nurses'knowledge were 13.23±3.37 and 12.18±3.74, respectively. Scores of doctors' attitude and nurses' attitude were 134.27±11.87 and 133.27±12.67, respectively.3.Attitude of health care was positively correlated to their knowledge (r=0.395, p=0.000).4. Influencing factors of hospice care knowledge included professional, title, work experience, the department and the impact of Hakka culture. Influencing factors of health care's attitude towards hospice care included work experience, the institutions and knowledge source.5. Comparison of attitudes towards hospice care of patients and their families and social groups: the scores of their attitude were 96.17±8.48,95.91±8.67, and 91.99±8.12, respectively, which was significantly different (P<0.05). 6.Influencing factors of attitudes towards hospice care of patients and their families and social groups included their identity and extent of Hakka culture.1.The medical staff in Meizhou had poor knowledge of hospice care, which should be further improved.2.The medical staff in Meizhou had positively attitude towards hospice care, lacking of clinical skills and implementation measurements.3.The medical staff in Meizhou were passive towards hospice care, nurses were more aggressive than doctors.4.The patients and their families and the community had positively attitude hospice care, and were generally able to recognize the meaning of hospice care, but there were obvious taboo of death and fear.5.Hakka culture had some negative influences on the carrying out of hospice care in Meizhou, there are more restrictive factors.
