To Evaluate The Application Of Chinese Version PedsQL^TM Scale In Assessing Health Related Quality Of Lige Of Healthy And Asthmatic Children

Objective To do the research in consistency check of Chinese version of the PedsQL^TM generic core scale and asthma specific module scale. Then we can evaluate whether the simple, easy understood Chinese version of the PedsQL^TM generic core scale can completely replace the specialized asthma specific module scale. As parents are the answers of HRQoL questionnaires. So we also did the research about the difference inspection between parents' and children' answer to pediatric health related quality of life questionnaire.Method We use PedsQL^TM generic core scale and asthma specific module scale separately as questionnaires. Parents are the answers. Then we compare whether there is difference between the results of the two questionnaires. At the same time, we investigate the basic message of both asthmatic and healthy children such as age/gender/household/parents'diploma. At last we use PedsQL^TM generic core scale as questionnaire, parents' and children' are answers. We compare the difference between parents'and children's answers to pediatric HRQoL.ResultThe Chinese version of PedsQL^TM generic core scale and asthma specific module scale are not well unanimous in both asthmatic children'HRQoL total score and the separately function score;Parents' and children' answer are Consistency good in pediatric health related quality of life both in total score and separate four functional level score;ConclusionThe Chinese version of PedsQL^TM generic core scale and asthma specific module scale are not well unanimous and each one has its good point, so the Chinese version of the PedsQL^TM generic scale can not completely replace the specialized asthma module scale.Parents' and children' answer in evaluation of pediatric health related quality of life are the same in total score and four functional level score; so parents'questionnaires can totally replace children'questionnaires in evaluation of pediatric health related quality of life.
