A self-designed questionnaire was applied among the reproductive-aged women. Epidata 3.0 was used input data, and using SPSS11.0 software for statistical analysis. Analysis methods include Descriptive Statistic Analysis, T test, F test,χ~2 test and Binary Logistic Regression Analysis. Results 587 reproductive-aged women were selected from 1117 families, 524 retrieved questionnaires were validity, including 112 in cities, 412 in rural areas. (1)77.4% of 524 reproductive-aged women had heard of AIDS. The status of AIDS related knowledge among reproductive-aged women had a statistical significance in levels of education(χ~2 =10.387,P=0.016), occupational (χ~2 =18.801,P=0.002)(2) The correctly rate of the 8 AIDS related questions was from 30.5% to 73.2%, and the average accuracy rate was 60.1%, with an average score of 4.81±2.762. (3) The status of AIDS related knowledge among reproductive-aged women had a statistical significance in the residents of the household registration (t = 2.589, P = 0.010), age (F=13.284, P=0.000), marital status (F=7.037, P=0.001), education (F = 21.215, P = 0.000), occupation (F= 5.467, P=0.000), health insurance in the form (F = 4.415, P = 0.002). (4) 30.0% of reproductive-aged women obtained the health care knowledge initiatively, primarily through radio and television (77.7%), books (30.6%), doctors (28.0%), other (5.1%), poster (0.6%). The results showed: (5) The occupational (P= 0.000) is an effective factor of the awareness of AIDS in reproductive-aged women by Logistic analysis. (6) Logistic analysis showed that education level (P = 0.000) is a factor which impact the scores of AIDS-related knowledge. ( 7) Logistic analysis showed that residence, age, education, health care in the form (P = 0.000) were influencing factors of reproductive-aged women in taking the initiative to access to health care knowledge. Conclusions AIDS awareness in reproductive-aged women was high, but the overall level of knowledge score was not high, and HIV transmission are still many non-vague understanding, Knowledge of AIDS is not comprehensive。The will in taking the initiative to access to health care knowledge also lower, the main way in obtaining the health care knowledge is radio, television, books, newspapers and doctors. Therefore, we propose the following effective comprehensive behavioral interventions for reproductive-aged women: Increase knowledge of AIDS prevention propaganda and comprehensive for reproductive-aged women; In the community, strengthening the links of Maternal and Child Health departments and family planning department in rural, town and village levels, and to carry out health care and health promotion on the prevention of AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases for reproductive-aged women and pregnant women, to establish counseling and testing system; Improve the current situation of reproductive aged women's reproductive services; Vigorously taking advantage of the identity of doctors in rural areas to propagate the knowledge of AIDS while in their medical practice.
