A Study On Current Situation And Measures Of Rural Community Health Services Of Qingpu District

The Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has proposed the strategic objective of establishing basic medical and health care services for all. To provide both urban and rural residents with safe, effective, convenient and affordable medical and health services is an unshakable duty of the Party and the government and an inexorable demand for ensuring and improving people's wellbeing and boosting their all-round development. In view of this, community health services have been carried out in rural areas of Qingpu district, which is an important move in deepening rural health care reform. It is a new health care model with primary health care as its key, an integrated management system as its basis and cooperative medical care as its safeguard. There is still a certain gap between the rural community health services and the urban ones, therefore it is urgent to accelerate the development of the rural community health services in line with the requirements of thoroughly applying the Scientific Outlook on Development, establishing a basic medical and health care services for all and effectively solving the most practical problems of the greatest and most direct concern to the people. It is also of great significance to the construction of a socialist harmonious society.The thesis applies results and findings from the subject of Public Administration, annals of statistics, policy papers, etc. as its theoretical and factual support; surveys conducted among community residents and medical workers in community health service centers in Qingpu District reflect the status quo of community health services in rural areas and people's demand; interviews with related personnel of local health bureau and community health service centers ensure richer resources and a deeper analysis of the causes of the actuality, and provide reference basis to solutions.The thesis falls into four parts. The first part introduces the background, significance, outline of literature study, research design, research method, framework, etc. In the second part, with reference to literature, questionnaire and interviews, the current situation of community health services in rural areas of Qingpu District is introduced in detail in terms of both medical facilities and standard of medical workers. In light of the problems in the current situation, causes are also discussed in detail with consideration of economy and population of Qingpu District. The third part proposes the corresponding solutions. The last part concludes with a summary of the research and suggestions to the development of community health services in rural areas of Qingpu district.
