| Objective:To observe the curative effect and safety of Modified LiuWei DiHuang Decoction to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus,and explore the mechanism and offer the sientific basis for the further improvement and clinic application of Modified LiuWei DiHuang Decoction.Methods:Choose 45 cases of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus,who belonged to the symptom-complex of deficiency of Yin of Gan and Shen and deficiency of Qi and Yin and were being cured by dietotherapy,kinesitherapy and western medicine hypoglycemic drugs therapy and their ill states were stable.And these patients' fasting plasma glucose (FPG)>6.1mmol/1 and postprandial glucose(two hours 2HPG mmol/L) >7.8.And all the patients received the Modified LiuWei DiHuang Decoction.After eight weeks,we compared the differences between their previous and subsequent symptoms,some inspections,including some inspections about the safety of this Chinese Medicine Therapy,and primarily studyed the data with statistical analyses.Results:1.45 patients were enrolled in,after eight weeks and the experimental treatment,the results of TCM syndrome rating were that 15 cases were cured totally(33.33%),19 cases were obviously improved(42.22%),8 cases were effective(17.78%), and 3 cases(6.67%)were invalid,the total effective rate was 93.33%.The analysis indicates that,after treatment Ridit was significant difference(p<0.05).2.2 TCM symptoms in patients with distribution is:after treatment,polyorexia,diuresis,fatigue,lumbar and knee aching and limp,dysphoria with feverish sensation in chest,palms and soles,excrement drier,etc were obviously improved clinical symptoms,and a statistically significant(P＜0.01) or(P＜0.05).3.The comparison about the healing effect before and after the treatment:sugar metabolism changes in patients after treatment, FPG 2HPG,and GSP significantly reduced,and the statistical processing,with significant difference(P＜0.05).4.Fasting insulin levels were compared before and after treatment in patients,with Fins,and fell significantly,compared to before the treatment had been obviously progressive.And the statistics processing was with significant difference(P＜0.05).5.Blood-fat changes:into that patients,TC,TG had got statistical processing,significantly(P＞0.05).6.Adverse reactions and side effects:in patients with clinical trials included occurred during,adverse reactions and side effects,the laboratory results(blood and urine,dung,liver, kidney and electrocardiogram) before and after treatment did not appear abnormal changes of related in comparison something related with the drug therapyResults:1.In the diet plus exercise therapy + hypoglycemic western medicine therapy combined with Modified LiuWei DiHuang Decoction,can effectively improve the type 2 diabetes's symptoms(Gan and Shen deficiency in Yin,and qi-yin deficiency) patients,polyorexia,diuresis,fatigue,lumbar and knee aching and limp,dysphoria with feverish sensation in chest,palms and soles,excrement drier,etc,especially in improving signs for excessive drink and urine.2.With Modified LiuWei DiHuang Decoction,can significantly reduce blood sugar,postprandial glucose,Reduced fasting insulin levels,Also,with blood-fat lowering without obvious adverse reactions and side effects.3.After using the Modified LiuWei DiHuang Decoction it can obviously improve the clinical symptoms,reduce the patients with kidney Yin,qi-yin deficiency of blood glucose levels, fasting insulin levels,and also reduce lipid levels and has no obvious adverse reactions and toxicity,and to eliminate or improve may dry,etc,the deficiency of Yin with 2 - DM pathogenic factors,but how 2 - DM patients pathophysiological some links to intervene,still further research. |
