The objectives of the study are to establish an evaluating index system of nutrition diet on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The important weighted values of different indexes in the evaluating system are calculated. Then the nutrition diet for military technical leaders are carefully evaluated by considering both the hierarchy total weight value and the total mean values of the actual mean diet intake. To provide an effective measurement instrument of nutrition diet for researchers, food and nutrition the policy constitutor of military , and the military technical leaders.Study object and method: Fifty technical leaders from a military medical university are chosen randomly as the appraisal standard of nutrition diet importance, and fifty technical leaders are also chosen randomly as the investigation and study object. Then an evaluating chart of nutrition diet is given based on the Chinese inhabitant balanced diet pagoda published by Chinese Nutrition Society in 2007. The total object hierarchy is nutrition diet (A). The five evaluating indexes for choosing nutrition diet consist of cereals, potato and pea (B1), vegetables and fruit (B2), animal foodstuff (B3), milk, soybean and nut (B4), as well as fats and salt (B5). Thus the evaluating indexes for choosing nutrition diet are B11–B13, B21–B26, B31–B36, B41–B42, and B51–B52. For all the fifty military technical leaders, the total weight values of different indexes in the evaluating index system for nutrition diet are calculated using AHP. The average diet nutrition provided by balanced diet pagoda is used as the standard value, and the average intake of corresponding food for each technical leader is calculated. The score is the sum of all the nutrition. If the score is in the lowest scope, it will be divided by the lowest score, and then multiply 100. If the score is beyond the standard value, it will be divided by the upper limit score, and then multiply 100. Finally, the score is classified as five groups according to the standard values. Therefore, the five different group score for each people can be determined. The average value of 50 people is the actual total score. It is noted that persons in different regions have different eating habits. For persons in different regions, their dietary standards and acknowledge for food are also different. So we should evaluate them according to their actual intake and acknowledge. The final population diet nutrition score is the sum of different food where, Wi is the weight value for i group food, Fi is the actual intake average score for i group food of 50 people. The results show that : the diet nutrition score of the people in test is the middle level of 65–75. This indicates that the improvement and elevation should be necessary. The score for each person can be calculated using the present method. It is proved that the present method is suitable to the nutrition diet evaluation for individual military technical leader or colonial. The further study for the applicability to other people is needed.
