ObjectiveTo study the condition of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)on lymphocytes apoptosis, and study the relationship between lymphocytes apoptosis and blood plasma flee Calcium levels and NBNA..It can be reed to provide relatively objective indicatrix.for severity of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage.MethodsThe lymphocytes apoptosis were measured in 46 neonates with HIE and 30 healthy neonates by FCM,and blood plasma free Calcium levels were investigated by I-STAT1-Analyzer. The neonates with HIE were divided into mild HIE group(n=12),moderate HIE group(n=24) and severe HIE group(n=10) according to the clinical diagnosis.NBNA were carried out by specially trained doctors based on the "Newborn's Action Nerve Grade Method of 20 Items" at the age of 3 daysResultsIn moderate HIE and severe HIE the max apoptosis rate of lymphocytes(incubated for 24hours in vitro) were significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05) and the blood plasma free Calcium levels descend significantly at the age of 0-3 days after birth(P<0.05).The NBNA scores of HIE groups were much lower than the control group(P<0.05).In moderate HIE and severe HIE The max apoptosis rate of lymphocytes was negtive correlative to the blood plasma free Calcium levels and the NBNA,and the blood plasma free Calcium levels positively correlated with the NBNA.ConclusionLymphocytes apoptosis participate the process of HIE,and intra-cellular calcium overload can be concerned with apoptosis.Lymphocytes apoptosis rate and blood plasma free Calcium levels can provide relatively dependable evidence for early decision of the degree of HIE.
