Objective:This paper observes the clinical effect of Vitamin E’s adjuvant treatment on hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE);discusses the changes of serum NSE levels and serum SOD levels after used Vitamin E.;provides theoretical basis for clinical treatment of neonatal HIE which through the the recovery of brain function judged by NBNA(Neonatal Behavioral Neurological Assessment)scores.Methods:Select 120 sick newborns in 24 hours which were born from November 2014 to October 2016 in Yanan university affiliated hospital,all sick newborns are satisfied the following conditions.1.All the newborns are born in 24 hours;2.37-42 weeks gestational age;3.Weight is greater than or equal to 2500 g;4.Satisfied the neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy diagnostic criteria in 2005.Divided all the sick newborns to 3 parts(mild,moderate,severe)according to the clinical manifestation and40 cases each part.Meanwhile,random divided observation group(n=20)and contrasted group(n=20).All the two groups were given conventional treatment 10 days such as contol seizures,reduce intracranial pressure,in addition,given the observation group Vitamin E 50 mg 2times/day during the basic treatment.Observe these two groups’ serum NSE levels,serum SOD levels changes before and after treatment,and compare the NBNA(Neonatal Behavioral Neurological Assessment)scores in different times.Analyze whether Vitamin E have protective effect on neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.Results:1.The serum NSE levels between observation group and contrasted group in mild part before treatment with Vitamin E are not significant differenc,have no statistical significance(P > 0.05);and the serum NSE levels of the observation group and contrasted group after treatment contrast with before are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).Therefore,the serum NSE levels between the observation group and contrasted group after treatment with Vitamin E are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).2.The serum SOD levels between observation group and contrasted group in mild part before treatment with Vitamin E are not significant differencet,have no statistical significance(P > 0.05);and the serum SOD levels of the observation group and contrasted group after treatment contrast with before are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).Therefore,the serum SOD levels between the observation group and contrasted group after treatment with Vitamin E are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).3.In mild part,there have significant difference of the NBNA score between observation group and contrasted group after clinical treatment with Vitamin E,with statistical significance(P<0.05).4.The serum NSE levels between observation group and contrasted group in moderate part before treatment with Vitamin E are not significant difference,have no statistical significance(P>0.05);and the serum NSE levels of the observation group and contrasted group after treatment contrast with before are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).Therefore,the serum NSE levels between the observation group and contrasted group after treatment with Vitamin E are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).5.The serum SOD levels between observation group and contrasted group in moderate part before treatment with Vitamin E are not significant difference,have nostatistical significance(P>0.05);and the serum SOD levels of the observation group and contrasted group after treatment contrast with before are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).Therefore,the serum SOD levels between the observation group and contrasted group after treatment with Vitamin E are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).6.In moderate part,there have significant difference of the NBNA score between observation group and contrasted group after clinical treatment with Vitamin E,with statistical significance(P<0.05).7.The serum NSE levels between observation group and contrasted group in severe part before treatment with Vitamin E are not significant difference,have no statistical significance(P > 0.05);and the serum NSE levels of the observation group and contrasted group after treatment contrast with before are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).Therefore,the serum NSE levels between the observation group and contrasted group after treatment with Vitamin E are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).8.The serum SOD levels between observation group and contrasted group in severe part before treatment with Vitamin E are not significant difference,have no statistical significance(P > 0.05);and the serum SOD levels of the observation group and contrasted group after treatment contrast with before are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).Therefore,the serum SOD levels between the observation group and contrasted group after treatment with Vitamin E are significant difference,with statistical significance(P < 0.001).9.In severe part,there have no significant difference of the NBNA score between observation group and contrasted group after clinical treatment with Vitamin E,have no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.It can increase the treatment efficiency of mild,moderate,severe HIE groups’ and improve clinical outcome while oral Vitamin E in the treatment of neonatal HIE basic onthe normal symptomatic treatment.So I infer that the usage of Vitamin E in treating neonatal HIE have significant curative effect and is worth to promoting.2.Compare the serum NSE levels with the serum SOD levels,the serum NSE levels’ reaction are more faster and significant than the serum SOD levels’;therefore,as the indicator of acute neonatal HIE diagnosis,the serum NSE levels is better than the serum SOD levels.Whether this conclusion is related with which the glycolysis decomposed rapidly after the brain cells hypoxia and the oxygen free radicals released slowly after the late-onset brain damage during pathogenesis of HIE need to be further research.3.For the severe group,the serum index do improve after use Vitamin E in treatment,but it is obviously difference for normal levels,and could not better recover nervous system function.Whether this result related with less time medication or too serious to recover the severe HIE need to be further research.
