The Clinical Research On Acupuncture Therapy To Treat Simple Obesity

The obesity means that fat inside the body pile up excessive with(or) distribute an abnormality,and the weight increment is a kind of many factors of chronic metabolic disease.The improvement of the material life condition and food structure lead to the disease rate of obesity increase year by year.The indication of the acupuncture to reduce weight is a simple obesity generally. The Chinese medicine think,the obesity is symptom complex of asthenia in origin and sthenia in superficiality,deficiency in origin is a basic of qi asthenia,the disease position is mainly in the spleen.The acupuncture reduces weight to have two advantages:two-ways regulation function of the acupuncture and moxibustion;integration of the Jingluo-points of the acupuncture and moxibustion.Purpose:we divide the the patients of the spleen asthenia and stagnation of pathogenic damp type of the simple obesity into 3 groups.Treat the patients with the three methods:the electric needle add ear acupoints,the acupuncture with warmed needle add ear acupoints,the ear acupoints.Through compared with the body mass index(BMI)and the waist/hip ratio(WHR)between the prior treatment and post-treatment each group with the three treatment methods to investigate clinical curative effect using different acupuncture method to reduce weight.Summary the best of clinical therapeutic schedule to the patients of the spleen asthenia and stagnation of pathogenic damp type of the simple obesity.Methods:the research according to the suggest of the International Life Science Institute(ILSI)"China obesity problem working team"i n 2001.We select the patients of the spleen asthenia and stagnation of pathogenic damp type of the simple obesity who's BMI over 24.0 in the department of acupuncture and moxibustion of the first affiliated hospital of the guangzhou university of chinese medicine.We divide them into three groups:the electric needle add ear acupoints group,the acupuncture with warmed needle add ear acupoints group, the ear acupoints group.Body acupuncture select the fat 3-needle(Daimai_both, Zhongwan,Zusanli_bothof the Jin's 3-needle and the eight points of the abdomen(Tianshu_both,Huaroumen_both,Wailing_both,Xiawan,Shimen),Guanyuan,Qihai; the ear acupoint select Sanjiao,endocrine,subcortex,consensus,spleen, stomach.Body acupuncture treatments once every two days,10 times make up a course,continuous three courses of treatment,have a rest between two courses of treatment.Female menstrual period should stop treatment.The ear acupoint should be change two times in one week,that is to say,three to two days should be change,the time of therapy that is the same as the body acupuncture treatments.Each group patients should be given proper life direction.Evaluation criteria of the Curative effect use the standard which is revised by China Health Care Academe.After treatment,the data adopt SPSS13.0 statistical package to analysis and compare between groups.Result:after three course of treatment three groups all obtain different curative effect,but all in all,both reduce BMI and WHR:it has statistical significance comparing three groups of treatment effectiveness(P<0.05).In view of curative effect:the group of acupuncture with warmed needle adding ear acupoint is better than the group of electroacupuncture adding ear acupoint.The group of electroacupuncture adding ear acupoint is better than the group of ear acupoint.Conclusion:The result hints that the acupuncture with warmed needle group display good effect and the curative effect last longer than the other two groups.In the aspects of lowering BMI and WHR are better than the electric needle.The ear acupoints therapy could be a kind of assistance means,If only using the ear acupoints therapy,the curative effect would be limited,and through long treatment time could be acquired this kind of curative effect.The follow-up effect can not be observed temporarily.
