| Objective: The article aim at observing the efficacy of catgut implantation at acupointon treating simple obesity of asthenia of both the spleen and kidney syndrome.Andwhether it has superiority compared with acupuncture, thus providing efficacy analysisbasis for clinical treatment of patients with simple obesity of asthenia of both the spleenand kidney syndrome.Method: Choose60patients who has simple obesity, then divided them into twogroups randomly,acupoint catgut implantation group (observation group) and acupuncturegroup (control group), each group has30cases. Through the method of before-after selfcontrol study and comparison between groups, observe the changes before and after thetreatment at some aspects, such as weight, body mass index,bust, waist and hipcircumference and symptom.Result: After two courses of treatment, there are significant improvements ofpatients’ weight, waist and hip circumference and followed syndromes.The statisticsanalysis shows that:within the groups:compared with the conditions before the treatmentthe weight and waist have significant difference after one period treatment（P<0.05）, andhave significant difference after two period treatment (P<0.01); the hip circumference andsymptom score of the patient all descend significantly after one and two period treatment,there is very significant difference (P<0.01). The chest circumference of two groups alsohas notable difference after one and two period treatments (P>0.05); group comparisonshows that compared with the conditions before the treatment, there is no significantdifference at thus aspect as weight, body mass index and waist, hip circumference and symptom score after one and two period treatment,(P>0.05),so as the followed syndrome.Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that acupoint catgut embedding therapyhas very good efficacy on simple obesity of Asthenia of both the Spleen and Kidneysyndrome. and it has no significant difference than acupuncture. |
