The Clinical Research In Treating Simple Obesity Of Spleen Deficiency And Dampness Stagnation Syndrome With Warming Needle

Obesity is a kind of chronic and metabolic disease,which not only damages the psychosomatic healthy of the patients,but also declines the quality of life and shortens the life expectancy.Now,when the life is changing better and the the way of work is different,the number of people who get more fatter becomes more and more.At the same time,the age of this kind of people is yonger than before.Obesity is one of disease which happens often.How to control effectively obesity is the focus that people pay attention to it.There are varieties of treatment for obesity,such as western medication, operation,acupuncture,Chinese traditional medicine,and massage.According to recent literature,Chinese medicine,especially the acupuncture has shown the better effect and little side effect in treating obesity.Western medication takes advantage of clear target,but it is complained with some side effects and the effect is not so significant.Operation has obvious effect, but it is with high risk and serious postoperative reaction.Therefore, acupuncture has the great advantage in treating obesity,compared with modern medicine.Research ObjectiveTo discuss on the therapeutic effect of treating simple obesity caused by spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation,based on warming needle.Research MethedAccording to diagnosis standard of obesity in western medicine and traditional chinese medicine(TCM),60 cases of qualified volunteers were absorbed into this research.They were randomly divided into point application group based on Warming Needle(the treatment group) of 30 cases and acupuncture (the control group) of 30 cases.After one month treatment,by compareing with weight,BMI,WHR,the points of syndrome and the results of laboratory tests(FBG, TG,TC,HDL,LDL),it can observe and assess tow treatment methods.Research ResultsThis study shows that the group of warming needle has a total effective rate of 90.0%,is more efficient than the group of acupuncture which has a total effective rate of 80.0%(P＜0.050).The group of warming needle is better than the other group on control WHR(P＜0.050).On the improvement of the syndrom of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation,the group of warming needle is better(P＜0.050).On the results of laboratory tests(FBG,TG,TC,HDL,LDL),the group of warming needle is still better(P＜0.050).Conclusion of the researchThe study of treating simple obesity caused by spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation with warming needle will promote the study of machanism of treating simple obesity caused by spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation and the clinical application.
