The nurse-patient communication is the communication between the nurse and the patients. It is not only the basis of the establishment of new type of nurse-patient relationship but also the basic form which can make the patient feel respected. By effective nurse-patient communication we can obtain the complete information of the patients, on the other hand it is helpful to the physical and mental health of the patients and it can help the patients to understand the nursing work deeply, the rate of satisfaction of the patients can be improved significantly and the harmonious doctor-patient relationship can be obtained successfully. To research the factors that influences the nurse-patient communication by the current condition of nurse-patient communication and to offer the foundation of effective strategy of nurse-patient communicationMethods: To investigate the qualified nurse and patient randomly from the comprehensive hospital of Jinan City Shandong province, there are 282 nurses and 286 patients at all. All the data is analyzed by the software of SPSS 13.0. The research include different factors that can influence the nurse-patient communication such as the general information of the nurse and the patients ,the cognition of the nurse and the patients to the current Condition of the nurse-patient communication ,the factors of emotion and behavior is also analyzed . Pearson x~2 test is mainly used to analyze the data. If the x~2 test condition is not satisfied, and if information is ranked, we use Kruskal Wallis H test to analyze the data.Results: 1. All the patients and nurses pay enough attention to the nurse-patient communication. But there is statistic difference between them, there is also statistic difference between the cognition to the importance of nurse-patient communication of nurses of different job and different scholar degree. All patients are eager to communicate with the nurses and their cognition to the importance of the nurse-patient communication increase with the length of stay prolong. Patients of different department pay different degree attention to the importance of the nurse-patient communication. 2. There is statistic difference between the evolution of nurse-patient communication of the nurse and patients. 3. The nurses and patients have different cognition to the reason of medical dispute. 4. The nurses are not satisfied to their job atmosphere. Only 32.6% nurses are satisfied to their job atmosphere. There is a challenging problem. 5. The cognition to the nurse-patient communication is correct, and it is consistent to the data reported. 6.The starting point of the nurse to communication and nurses of higher degree have better cognition to the question. 7. The behavior of the nurse in the course of nurse-patient communication: 73.4% nurses call the patients respected according to the age of the patients. At the same time 37.9% patients hope that the nurses call their name directly and 35.4% patients hope respected call. In the research the technique of unverbal communication is reflected by the question that "when the patients feel uncomfortable, will you soothe him by the handle shaking?" Nurses of different duty have different behavior of shake hands soothing. When they are not satisfied to the nursing service the patients of different type of payment take different measure.Conclusions: 1.The factor that influence the nurse-patient communication should be paid enough emphasis, asymmetrical relationship between nurse and patients,the improvement of the consciousness of the patient to protect their right,the bad environment of the doctors and the nurses,the excessive expectation of the patients,the deficiency of Personnel,the technique of the communication and the knowledge of the nurses,the index to evaluate the nurse-patient communication. 2. To determine the duty of the manager of the hospital and to ensure the rationality of the equipment of the human resources. 3. To establish an energetic nursing atmosphere and a permissive work environment. 4. The training of the nursing should be strengthened and the attitude to the nursing should be improved.
