To Treat The Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion With The Combination Of Acupuncture And Manipulation Of Massage

ObjectiveTo compare the therapeutic effects on lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion with the treatment of normal acupuncture and the combination of acupuncture and manipulation of massage. To discuss the mechanism of action and therapeutic effects of the treatment of the combination of acupuncture and manipulation of massage on lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion.MethodsWe made a literature review on the pathogenesis, differentiation of symptoms and sighs and treatment based on syndrome differentiation of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. At random, we divided 60 cases into two groups. The treatment group was treated with the combination of acupuncture and manipulation of massage. And the control group was treated with normal acupuncture. Then we made contrast analysis of the therapeutic effects between two methods. As to the treatment group, we select master point and symptomatic points. At first, we mainly used mild massage manipulation. On the lumbago points, we used finger kneading manipulation to make small range of massage. As to the rubbing method, we used thenar eminence to rube between the kidney shu and the large intestine shu and to stop when the skin was with hot sensation. As to method of foulage, we used finger and palm to keep close to waist and acted on the kidney shu and the gate of life. It should be stopped when the waist was with hot sensation. As to the method of pressing manipulation, we used finger pressing manipulation evenly and made the points was with swell and aching and tingling sensation. We used massage in advance and then used acupuncture. The master points were waist Jiaji Point, kidney shu, the large intestine shu, Ciliao and circular jump. As to symptomatic points, patients with radiating pain of lower limb need to select cheng fu, yinmen, weizhiong, Yanglingquan, cheng shan and kunlun, etc. After routine sterilization, we used 1 to 3 inches filiform needle and retain the needles for 30 minutes. Three times per week and a course of treatment was 10 times. As to the control group, the point's selection and the course of treatment were as the treatment group.ResultsIn the treatment group, results showed that the total effective rate was 56.67%. The case with apparent effect, efficient effect and inefficient effect was 17, 10 and 3 respectively. As to the control group, the total effective rate was 30.00%. And the case was 9, 13 and 8respectively. As to therapeutic effect, there was significant difference between two groups.ConclusionAs to the treatment methods on the lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion, the combination of acupuncture and manipulation of massage was better than normal acupuncture. For the combination method, it might obtain its aching relief aim through relieving the muscle cramp in the waist and buttocks, removing adhesion and strengthening qi and blood circulation. The treatment of acupuncture could dredge the channels and collaterals, activate blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis and regulate qi and blood. The treatment of manipulation of massage could relief the muscle cramp in the waist and buttocks, remove adhesion and relief ache. Thus the combination of acupuncture and manipulation of massage was a safe and effective method for the treatment on the lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion.
