Object: To study the related factors of reintubation within 24 hours in none COPD( Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) ICU patients. Method: To retrospective analyse the clinical data of 25 none COPD patients which were reintubated within 24 hours after extubation. The possible associated primary disease, age, hemoglobin, APACHE II score, albumin, arterial blood gas and mechanical ventilation parameters prior to extubation were collected and statistical analysed. Result : The risk factors are neurologic disease, advanced age, high APACHE II score, low PAO2/FiO2, low tidal volume before weaning , high rapid shallow breathing index , low hemoglobin concentration are risk factor of 24 hours reintubation in none COPD patients. Conclusion: Reintubation of none COPD patients in ICU was related to advanced age, high APACHE II score, neurogic disease, low PAO2/FiO2, low tidal volume before weaning from mechanical ventilation, high rapid shallow breathing index and low hemoglobin concentration. High APACHE IIscore(OR=1.262) and neurologic disease(OR=6.348) areindependent risk factors.
