OBJECTIVE:The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a registered nurse who through study and supervised practice at the graduate level (master's of doctorate) has become expert in a defined area of knowledge and experience. In a selected clinical area of nursing. It was widely acknowledged that clinical nurse specialists (CNS) could provide advanced nursing practice and quality care. In some developed western country such as USA, Canada, it has become a systemically, wholy and mature institution after development of about a century. In china, some hospitals have developed CNS programs and lots of advanced nursing professionals have been trained. However, the country has not establish CNS system.To adapt to the trend of standardization, systematization and internationalization of CNS, The aim of this study was to establish the curricula design and evaluation index system of pediatric CNS, so that the scientific standard can be offered to relative departments to evaluate CNS, which is in turn to enhance the development of the CNS evaluation.
