In the process of oral cavity repair, abnormality amending and face surgical therapy, because cavity repair body is mostly made by indirect craftwork, for the sake of that, the repair body, which is made by tooth tier plaster cast, when wore in mouth, could be unisonous whit body in form and function, doctors usually need a kind of machine to stimulate the structure and function of human body's masticating apparatus in the lab, and one of this kind of machine widely used now is articulator. Beside used in making repair body, articulator is applied in teaching as wall, so as to avail students to comprehend the structure and moving track, s character of mandible joint. Moreover, articulator is also used as an assistant tool of different occluding analyzes, abnormal amending, and jaw repair surgical therapy.However, former methods used in confirming articulator parameters and jaws relationship transferring have different problems because of low precision or inconvenient manipulation, moreover, the function of mandible movement simulating by mechanical articulator is limited. In the era of great development of different technology, such as physic image and picture management, computer assistant design and manufacture, converse project, network et al, foreign scholars begin to quest for using computer software, namely, the virtual reality, to replace articulator, s machine, and they make use of computer's strong computational power and figure management function to replay and analyze mandible movement and occluding contact, and make some progress, yet there was no study in native.Under this background, this article quests for using virtual reality technology to simulate oral cavity systemic structure and function, expecting mechanical articulator could be completely replaced, and to promote the development of oral cavity medicinal repair technology and related fields. This research includes four parts as follow.(1)We evaluated the reliability of the ARCUS digma system,and the accuracy of articulator parameters measured by the ARCUS digma system.(2)We gain part of patient's skull digital information by using the technologies of medicinal image, laser scan et al, and make use of figure management technology and computer image technology to reconstruct the skull three-dimensionally.(3)By using virtual reality technology, we analyze static and dynamic occlusion and gnathic...
