Education of Master students in medicine is an important component of advanced education. It undertakes the task to supply qualified medical specialists. The 21st century is the era of life science. Education of graduate students in medical schools faces severe challenges with the rapid development of science and technology, change in disease modes, and increasing demands for health service.The education and training process of Master students involve many aspects and factors. Courses, as the major knowledge source, are the cornerstone of education systems for graduate students, as well as the basis for developing knowledge level, optimizing knowledge structure, strengthening theoretical foundation, and expanding knowledge scope. Thus, the establishment and improvement of courses in line with the needs of development of the society, and the rules and characteristics of education of Master students in medicine are of particular importance.Course design, as a critical part in the training of Master students, is bound to adapt to the change in medical modes, development of social productivity, and advancement of science and technology through self-improvement, just like the medical education. Courses directed by the constructivism theory possess features of gradual generation and appearing, humanization, and circumstance base. They fully take into account the variety of people, uncertainty of knowledge, and complexity, diversity and unpredictability of the circumstance in classrooms. The courses, therefore, can always be supplemented and amended in accordance with specific situation and fulfill the educational needs of Master students.With reference to the constructivism theory and the latest findings in philosophy, systems science, sociology, medicine, education, management studies and other relevant disciplines, this research investigates the characteristics of domestic and foreign course systems for medical students by means of comparative studies, literature analysis,...
