A Survey And Analysis Of Actual Nursing Baccalaureate Curriculums System Of Shanxi Medical University

Objective: To know the evaluation and suggestion on the setup of actual nursing baccalaureate curriculums of Shanxi Medical University, nursing teachers (some experts of nursing education) and college nursing students in Shanxi province were investigated in this study in order to provide some basis for the reform of setup of actual nursing baccalaureate curriculums of Shanxi Medical University.Method: A total of 84 nursing teachers (including 5 nursing education experts) and 79 college nursing students from Shanxi Medical University and three third-grade class-A hospitals of Shanxi province were investigated by filling out self-designed questionnaire. All callback data from questionnaire were coded and than recorded into computer. Statistical analysis was conducted by SPSS 11.5 software package. The reliability of this study Cronbachαis 0.856, and the content validity was assessed as excellent by 5 nursing education experts. The contents of investigation included in evaluation of comprehensive diathesis and ability of college nursing students of Shanxi province, evaluation of the effectiveness of actual college nursing curriculums setup in Shanxi Medical University, and evaluation and proposals in the aspects of curriculum time arrangement, curriculum structure, curriculum model and load of learning.Results:1 Evaluation of diathesis and ability of college nursing students: The evaluation of nursing teachers on self-learning ability, continuous development ability of college nursing students was as the better to the excellent level. The evaluation on mastering of basic medical knowledge, nursing professional knowledge, nursing practice skills, nursing research, nursing management, nursing teaching ability, health education ability, personality characteristics, article writing, critical thinking are between commonly and the better level.2 Evaluation on the actual nursing curriculum setup in our school: 47.2% of those investigated thought the actual nursing curriculum of Shanxi Medical University can basically meet the needs of modern society for nurses. And 45.4% of the investigated thought that it in better meet the needs of diathesis education. 47.2% of the investigated considered that it showed the feature of nursing professional better.3 Evaluation and suggestion on arrangement, structure, and model of curriculum and load of learning:3.1 Of 78% those investigated thought that nursing students had higher learning load.3.2 Of 96% those investigated hoped that both the species and the times of selective curriculums and curriculums of humanistic and social sciences should be increased, so it can widen the...
