| Acne vulgaris is a common skin disease that occurs in adolescence and in young adulthood. According to different serious degree, Acne vulgaris is commonly be divided into several typies (pimple, pustule, tubercle, cyst, cicatrix) .Among it, Acne vulgaris' skin injury in moderate and heavey degree that mainly be on the face, chest and back are pustule, tubercle, cyst or cicatrix primarily. So it gives the patients much pain and influences the quality of their life. The curative effect of modern medicine is not satisfied while the therapies have large side effect and high recurrence rate. The therapies of Traditional Chinese Medicine have unique advantage-reliable curative effect and minimal sideeffect . Especially fire needle treatment is a superior therapy.Objective: Observe the clinical effect treating Acne vulgaris in moderate and heavey degree with fire needle treatment and medicine. In addition, other correlation factors (therapeutic time needed, adverse reaction, recurernce rate and patients' degree of adaptability etc)of two groups are needed to compare.Method: the study is based on the diagnosis criterion of Acne vulgaris in 《new traditional Chinese durg' standard in clinic 》 which was come out with the ministry of healththe of People' s R- of China in 2002. We have selected suitable cases from department of dermatology clinic and acupuncture clinic that are in Guang Zhou university of TCM' NO 1. affiliated hospital and academe of TCM' affiliated acupuncture hospital in Sichuan province since June, 2004 to Jan, 2006. There are 31 cases in medicine group and 42 cases in fire needle treatment group. The fire needle treatment prescription: A-shi points on the face, chest and back, Fei-shu, Pi-shu, Ge-shu。 Dialectical selecting points: heat (or fire) type selects Da-zhui points;dampness type selects Feng-longpoints;the patients with constipation are needed to select Da-chang-shu points. Treatment 1 time every 5 days and treatment 3 times is a period of treatment. Medicine group' patients were asked to take Azitromycin 500mg by per oral before breakfest per day. Cumulatively take 4 days every week, 3 weeks is a period of treatment. During the treatment, all patients of two groups are foebidden to contact with any remedy that interfere the results on the cards. After a period of treatment observe the effect. All data were analysed with EPI software to compare the effect with the statistical results. Result: After 4 perioies of treatment, two kinds of therapies all show good action in therapeutic effectiveness and the amelioration of imflammation. But, fire needle group' patients haved gained better effect (P<0.01) and adapt to patients in all types. In additional, it is the same in recurernce rate, adverse reaction, therapeutic time needed and patients' degree of adaptability.Conclusion: Treatment of fire needle is superior not only in the amelioration of imflammation and also in the improvement of cure rate and effective rate. This treatment is fit for all patients with Acne vulgaris in moderate and heavey degree, soever male or female, soever hobbledehoy or adult. In short, according to Acne vulgaris in moderate and heavey degree fire needle treatment that active highly, operate rapidly, no drugfastness, low recurernce rate and adverse reaction, is a superior natural therapy. So it have good clinical value. |
