Objective To determine the effectiveness New Type Adjusted Socket-Bolt System of for distal femurfracture. Methods 18 case of distal femur fracture were treated, with New Type Adjusted Socket-Bolt System. The fracture was classified according AO classification, type A] 2 cases, type A3 1 cases, type B] 1 cases, type B2 1 cases, type C1 5 cases, type C2 6 cases, type C3 2 cases. The fractures of femoral condyle were made on 12 fresh cadaver femurs(C1 of AO classification). The fractures have been fixed by using New Type Adjusted Socket-Bolt System+compressed plate, L shaped condyle plate and compressed plate+common screw fixation. These three different internal fixation methods have been compared through experimental stress analysis. Results By following-up of 6-30months, average 16 months. The evaluation of the results by Kolmert' s functional rating scale revealed 16 excellent and good cases, 1 fair cases and 1 poor cases. The excellent and good rate was88.9%. Under the same load condition, New Type Adjusted Socket-Bolt System +compressed plate fixation is superior to L shaped condyle plate and compressed plate+common screw fixation method, strain and displacement have the significance of difference (P<0.01).Conclusion New Type Adjusted Socket-Bolt System is an excellent alternative for the treatment of distal femur fracture. It has advantage of stabile and reliable fixation, early function exercise postoperatively, combination of motion and rest. It is superior to other internal fixation and deserves to be put into application and popularization. |
