Study On Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang In Treating Vertebrobasilar Insufficiency

Objective: To study the clinical effects and mechanism of Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang " . Methods: 104 cases of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome of Qi Deficiency and Blood stasis were randomly divided into two groups.Among them 53 cases had been treated with Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang Decoction for 15 days.The other 51 cases treated with aspirin and Betahistine served as a control group.The clinical study of both groups before and after treatment were observed.Velocity mean(Vm),pulse index(Pi) in the bilateral vertebral and basilar arteries was tested before and after treatment by way of TCD.Rat models of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome of Qi Deficiency and Blood stasis were made,we have observed the therapeutic effect of Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang Decoction on model rat vertigo. ResultsrThe prescription of Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang Decoction can obviously improve the clinical symptoms.The preternatural Vm of VA and BA was recovered after administration of Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang Decoction.The higher serum cholesterol of patient was depressed.The experiment shows that the prescription of Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang Decoction can obviously lighten the vertigo symptoms of model rats. Conclusions: Bu Qi Ding Xuan Fang Decoction is obviously effective on the treatment of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome of Qi Deficiency and Blood stasis.
