Purpose: To study the clinical effects and mechanism of "Ding Xuan Tong Luo Fang"。Method: 60 cases of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome phlegm turbidity were randomly divided into two groups. Among them 30 cases had been treated with Ding Xuan Tong Luo Fang for 4 weeks. The other 60 cases treated with the capsule of Tian Ma Xing Nao served as a control group. The treatment such as blood pressure, blood sugar, blood lipid management, the application of neural protectants two groups are the same. The patients' vertigo degree, phlegm turbidity symptoms and changes of TCD before and after treatment are observed.Result: In effect, safety, and through the adverse reactions of clinical observation and statistics analysis, the prescription of Ding Xuan Tong Luo Fang can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of phlegm turbidity vertigo and abnormal flow of TCD and the serum cholesterol of patient was depressed.Conclusion: Ding Xuan Tong Luo Fang is obviously effective on the treatment of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome of phlegm turbidity.
