Clinical And Experimental Research On The Effect Of Penyan Recipe On The Immunity Of Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Objective : To explore the effect of PENYAN recipe on the chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) of asthenia of kidney and blood stasis. Method : Sixty patients were divided into two groups randomly : the treatment group and the control group. Symptoms and signs of each group were observed before and after treatment. Meanwhile the levels of CD3> CD4 and CD8 in the blood plasma were measured. Rat model was made with colon bacillus and staphylococcus aureus. After fifteen-days' treatment we assayed the levels of TNF and IL-2 by RIA. Results: Symptoms and signs of both groups had been significantly improved after treatment, there was significant difference between two groups. The Level of CDS was significantly decreased and CD4/CD8 improved. Experimental results showed that after treatment the level of IL-2 improved while TNF decreased. There was significant difference between two groups. Conclusions: There is low cellular immunity in the chronic PID of asthenia of kidney and blood stasis. PENYAN recipe can moderate the immunity and inhabit inflammation.
