| Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma. and Phlomis rotata Benth. are two kind of important Tibet herbal medicines constantly and more and more widespread in the clinical on application. Along with demand unceasing increase, has become the inevitable trend.Through the mensuration of the water absorption character,the extraction,separation and appraisal of germination inhibitors of seed and the seed treatment germination test in the room as well as the field seed treatment germination test of Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma. and Phlomis rotata Benth.,this paper studyed the seed dormancy reason, the dormancy mechanism, the method of relieveing the dormancy and the field sowing seeds treatment method,to obtain the best seed treatment method by the time,thus promote the research development of artificially domestication cultivation technology of Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma. and Phlomis rotata Benth.. Main results were showen as follows:1.Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma.seed has the obvious dormancy characteristic and in the ordinary circumstances the germination percentage is only about 10%;Phlomis rotata Benth. seed also has the dormancy characteristic constantly, the germination percentage,in the ordinary circumstances,does not surpass 40%.2.The water absorption character of Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma. and Phlomis rotata Benth.seedcoat is good.Thus,it isn't main reason of the seed dormancy.3.Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma. and Phlomis rotata Benth.seed contains and is an extremely important reason of seed dormancy.At the same time, these germination inhibitors also has the very strong inhibitory action on seedling's growth.4.GA3 can effectively enhance the germination rate of Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma. and Phlomis rotata Benth. seed. The best consistence processing Gentianopsis paludosa(Mun.)Ma.seed is 300mg/L and the germination rate may reach 47%;The best consistence processing Phlomis rotata Benth.seed is 50mg/L constantly and the germination rate may enhance above 30%.
