Clinical Study On Treatment Of Chronic Colitis With Liver - Qi And Spleen - Deficiency Type By Modified Danggui Shaoyao San Modified

Objective Chronic colitis has become a common disease of modern life. Because it is recurrent and hard to be cured, it has caused great pressure to the patients’ physiology and psychology. Chronic colitis is now treated with mesalazine, but it has caused many adverse reactions. Traditional Chinese medicine has certain advantages and a positive effect in the treatment of this disease. To explore the theoretical basis and provide the clinical basis for the treatment of chronic colitis, we used supplemented Danggui Shaoyao Powder to treat patients with chronic colitis of hepatic stagnation and spleen deficiency type, and observed the patients’ clinical symptoms, colonoscopy and efficacy.Methods 60 patients as the anorectal outpatients came from Jinzhong City Hospital from January 2014 to December 2014. They were averagely randomized into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was composed with 13 women and 17 men between the ages of 19 to 68 and treated with oral supplemented Danggui Shaoyao Powder. The control group was composed with 14 women and 16 men between the ages of 18 to 69 and treated with oral sustained-release granules mesalazine(Etiasa). We observed and compared the clinical symptoms, colonoscopy results and efficacy of the two groups of patients after treatment.Results For the treatment of chronic colitis of hepatic stagnation and spleen deficiency type, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 90.0%, and that of the control group was 70.0%(P<0.05). The main and accompanying syndromes of the experimental group have improved to varying degree. Compared with the colonoscopy results before treatment, they were significantly improved after treatment in both groups(P<0.05). But the number of cases of grade Ⅲ and grade Ⅳ in the experimental group was significantly less than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05). It shows that the improvement in mucosal lesions of the experimental group is significantly better than that of the control group.Conclusion It can achieve the great clinical efficacy in the treatment of chronic colitis of hepatic stagnation and spleen deficiency type with supplemented Danggui Shaoyao Powder.
