Objective: In an attempt to find a new approach to managing chloasma with traditional Chinese medicine and optimize the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in chloasma, researchers analyzed at the physiologically comprehensive consequences of modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder form with acupoint embedding. Methods: 36 patients from each of the two groups were selected randomly from the 72 patients who met the inclusion criteria.modified Danggui Shaoyao powder was employed as a treatment;Acupoint catgut embedding therapy was supplemented with the control group’s regimen of vitamin C tablets(0.2g/time,3 times/day)and vitamin E soft capsules(0.1g/time,1 time/day).The scores of the modified version of the severity index of chloasma area(m MASI),melas QOL,VISAI quantitative test results and TCM syndrome scores were recorded before treatment and after the 2nd,4th,6th,8th,10 th and 12 th weeks of treatment, respectively. After the end of the follow-up visit,a monthly follow-up was conducted for a total of 3 months. The statistical data were analyzed by SPSS26.0,and finally the conclusion was drawn.Results1.Comparison of skin lesions The profitability ratios of curing skin lesions in the treatment group was 87.50% at the end of the course of therapy, contrasted to 67.74% in the control group, with a statistically significant of P<0.05.The skin lesion score at each stage was radically different from what it was having to follow therapy(P<0.05).2.Comparison of quality of life index After the period of treatment, there was a statistically significant distinction among the two groups’ quality of life indices prior to and following treatment(P<0.05).3.Comparison of VISIA image analysis system score and skin stain improvement rate The two groups’ VISIA image analysis system scores were lower at the end of the intervention than they were at the commencement(P<0.05),finding the difference statistically significant. It was statistically significant that the treatment group’s rate of improvement in skin pigmentation was considerably higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of curative effects of TCM syndromes At the culmination of the dosing interval, the treatment group’s effective rate was87.50% and the control group’s effective rate was 54.52%;this difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Comparison of recurrence rate Having followed patients for three months demonstrated that the treatment group’s recurrence rate was 13.04% whereas the control group’s was 50%.The first was substantially less than the second. The difference was statistically significant after comparison,P<0.05.Conclusion1.Modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder combined with acupoint catgut embedding can significantly reduce the area and severity index(m MASI)of chloasma and the score of the patient’s VISIA image analysis system, increase the rate of improvement and change of the patient’s skin pigmentation, and significantly fade the pigmentation spots of patients with chloasma.2.It clearly benefits patients’ quality of life and lowers their chance of recurrence, and ultimately, its performance is much considerably greater than that of the control group.Modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder combined with acupoint catgut embedding can dramatically increase the indications and symptoms of patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency, and attain the objective of internal and external harmony.3.Chloasma caused by liver depression and spleen deficiency can be treated safely and effectively with modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder and acupoint catgut embedding, and this treatment can be utilized as a clinical reference.
