Part 1 refers to the advances of metabolic syndrome. This be in progress by analysing documents about mechanism and precaution of metabolic syndrome in Modern medicine and chinese tarditional medicine both side.Metabolic syndrome is a kind of pathological state which are grouped by over body weight, high blood glucose, high blood fat,high blood pressure,and other symptoms. These are the high risk factors of diabetes mellitus and Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. But until nowdays, the current diagnostic criteria for metabolic syndrome has not yet been finalized. According to the literature study, the etiology and pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome included insulin resistance, central obesity, inflammation theory, environmental factors and genetic factors.Because of the complexity of pathological mechanisms, the symptoms of metabolic syndrome patients are different,so the prevention and treatment should be multi-target, multi-level, multi-link featuring comprehensive intervention, and combined with personalized therapy.There are no specific naming for metabolic syndrome in TCM. However, the composition of metabolic syndrome, such as obesity, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, can be classified as "Dizziness", " Diabetes", " Fatness", " Phlegm" and others. In TCM, the cause of the metabolic syndrome can be broadly divided into congenital and acquired factors. Kidney is the congenital foundation, spleen is the acquired base of life. TMC believes that kidney and spleen are closely related to the etiology of metabolic syndrome. "Treating different diseases with the same therapy, treating the same disease with different therapies" is the concept of TCM. So TMC has proposed different entry points for the treatment of metabolic syndrome diagnosis and treatment principlesPart 2 refers to the theoretical study. This part can be subdivided into two. First part is the discussion of the sanjiao (triple energizer) membrane system theory by Professor KongGuangYi and Dan-snake decotion. Second part is by analysing the ancient and modern doctor and the classics of TMC, to highlight the innovation of the sanjiao membrane system theory.According to the 《The Inner Canon of Huangdi》,Professor Kong believes that there are a close correlation of physiological functions between lungs, Shaoyang (sanjiao) and kidney. He proposed the words "The sanjiao membrane". The sanjiao (triple energizer) membrane has different forms and widely distributed in wholeorgans, inside and outside of lumen, andmusculoskeletal. The function of The sanjiao membrane will change because of the morphological of viscera. The sanjiao membrane can contanct all over the human body, communicate internal and external of body,to make sure the function of the coordination of internal organs, transporting essence and blood, nourishing skins, water metabolism are normal. The sanjiao (triple energizer) membrane can be comprises into 2 type:the external membrance and the internal membrance. The external membrance directly connected with outside, in modern medicine can be classified as respiratory and digestive tract. The internal membrance is distributed on inside and outside of lumen,use heart and liver as main body, similar to human cardiovascular system of modern medicine anatomy. The external membranee absorbs nutrients, excrete waste and import; the internal membrance transporting nutrients in the whole body and excrete waste to outside. Cooperation between both membrances maintain the normal physiological of body. The pathological state of the sanjiao membrane is damage of membrances. This can cause visceral disease, the development of serious diseases can make the damge of membrances worse, forming a vicious cycle. Dan-snake decotion is formulated on the basis of sanjiao membrane, it can activate collaterals and resolve phlegm, clearing away heat and strengthening the spleen, the decotion can resolving phlegm, eliminating stasis,clearing away heat, strengthening the spleen and nourishing the blood, its treatment focuses on both the root and branch aspects, supporting healthy qi and removing pathogenic factors. We make mechanism Research of the Effect of Dan snake decotion on Rat Model of Metabolic Syndrome.Method:SPF, male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group,and model group.Rats models of Metabolic Syndrome were established by high fat sugar high salt diet and injection of STZ. After 9 weeks,rats models of Metabolic Syndrome were randomly divided into model group, rosiglitazone (western medicine treatment) group, Dan snake decotion treatment group. In addition to the normal control group,each group was been given oral administration drug treatment group and high sugar & fat diet about 3 weeks. At the same time monitoring in the rat body weight, abdominal girth, fasting blood glucose, blood fat,blood pressure, and finally anesthesia abdominal aorta take blood test fasting insulin levels, insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR).The result shows blood glucose, serum insulin, insulin resistance, blood pressure index of Dan snake group compared with the model group were significantly lower (P<0.05),with rosiglitazone group was no significant difference. The TG and HDL-C index of Dan snake group compared with the model group were no significantly different (P>0.05). The conclution is Dan snake decotion can improve the physique of metabolic syndrome rats,do the rapeutic effect on sugar metabolism and blood pressure of metabolic syndrome rats,and relieve symptoms from multiple angles. The rapeutic effect of Dan-snake decotion on fat metabolism of the metabolic syndrome rats is still no be confirmed. The result provide a strong experimental evidence to the clinical using of the sanjiao (triple energizer) membrane system theory.The sanjiao (triple energizer) membrane system theory can be applied to the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic syndrome, provides a new entry point to it. According to the study, the sanjiao membrane system has combined the knowledge of Chinese and Western medicine and applicable to clinical. So personally think that the future development of Chinese medicine should retains its characteristic,absorbs the advantages of modern medicine to improve the treatment.
