The fault of generator rotor winding short-circuit is a common fault. Rotor craft in the manufacturing process, as well as operating in bad poor operating conditions are the rotor winding short-circuit may occur, so that the rotor current increases, winding temperature ups, these limit the non-functional power of generator. Short-circuit in severe cases, loss of balance of magnetic field caused by vibration will increase, eventually lead to that generator was forced to stop running.This paper developed a generator rotor short-circuit fault diagnosis system for Jing Tai Power Company unit 1. The data generator excitation current, active power, reactive power, excitation voltage, collected from the DCS system, calculate the corresponding excitation current by a precise data model, connect to the LAN clients to monitor the condition of the generator rotor, find the fault of the generator winding short-circuit in time, ensure that the generators always in a good state of operation.
