Water resources is one of the core elements of the ecology and the environment, also is an important influencing factor in social development. With technological advancement and economic development, the requirement of water resources is increasing, the crisis of ecosystem and water resources system faced is serious increasingly. Both ecosystem and water resources system are synthetical and complex, which have many influencing factors, and have become the key problem.Based on the existing research, assessment index systems of regional ecosystem health and water resources carrying capacity are set up, including many indicators, such as ecology, environment, society, economy and water resources, and establish the models to evaluate the situation of ecosystem health and water resources carrying capacity in the TGP area. Then base on their relationship and experiences about water resources management in Rhone River basin, this article put forward the mode of water resources management in the TGP area.It is divided subareas on the base of fourth-grade water resources partition in the TGP area. With help of RS GIS and landscape ecology, this paper builds index system, evaluate index weight by entropy method, establish multi-objective and multilevel fuzzy optimization model to assess ecosystem health in the TGP area. Result of the diagnoses that ecosystem health situation in the upper and lower reaches is better than it in the middle reaches.In this paper, considering complexity of ecological environment system, social economy system and water resources system, the index system of regional water resources carrying capacity is built, from which indexes are chose to assess water resources carrying capacity in the TGP area by grey correlative analysis, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is used to evaluated value of water resources carrying capacity. It makes clear that area proportion of light carrying capacity is low; most of the regions are in suitable state, parts of which are in the trend of over loading. Based on the assessment of ecosystem health, water resources carrying capacity, and the relationship of them, linked with the situation of water resources management in the TGP area and the Yangtze River basin, used for reference of Rhone River basin management, the integrated water resources management mode adapted to the TGP area is afforded, which is expressed as combination of ecology management and sustainable development, management among basin, region and TGP. In order to restore ecology of injured partitions, this paper also put forward repair measures adopted for ecological environment protection, considering the ecology situation in the TGP area, summing up the successful experiences of Yangtze River basin and Rhone River basin.
