ANSYS was utilized to establish the two-dimensional axisymmetric finite element model of oil seal. Some factors influencing the value and distributing of the contact pressure were taken into account, such as width of contact field in theory, value of interference, intensity of the spring used for the oil sea, the value of the corner on the side of air, and the inner pressure of the annular seal space. Some laws about the influence of the factors on the value and distributing of the contact pressure are shown below.Firstly, the max contact pressure and the width of the contact field on the air side has a slowly reduce along with the increase of the contact width in theory.Secondly, the width of the contact field on the air side has a rapidly reduction and the max contact pressure has become larger when the corner on the air side increase.
