Long time, large-scale exploitation of coal mine led to serious land collapse, soil degradation, and vegetation damage, even worse ecological environment deterioration in Huaibei City. Vegetation restoring is an useful method to prevent soil degradation, vegetation and improve ecological environment of the area and soil property, make ecological environment of the mining area circles virtuously. Many plant restoring projects have been put into effect in Huaibei City for 10 years, and remarkable goal was achieved, such as Suixi County and Lieshan District of Huaibei City, they learn from the other coal mine collapse area and abandon area from experience of vegetation restoring, and creatively concluded a series of vegetation restoring models in practice.These models are very useful for vegetation restoring in other mining collapse areas and abandons areas ,will do help to government and restore vegetation in Huaibei City.In this paper, field survey, soil sampling and laboratory analysis methods are used,based on the survey of distribution of collapse area in Huaibei city, staggered progress are made by analysing coal mine area vegetation restoring models and the effect on soil property in Sui Xi County and Lie Shan Qu of Huaibei City .(1) The distribution of collapse areas.Coal Mine collapse area of Huaibei City are mainly distributed in the following areas: Duanyuan township, Suli township, Shitai township, Kuangshan township and Gaoyue township in Duji district; Lieshan township in Lieshan district; Renyu township in Xiangshan district; and Suixi Liuqiao Baishan Hancun township in Suixi County. The total proportion of collapse area is 7597. 8 hectares, and government proportion amounts to 2905. 8 hectares.(2) There are mainly two typical models of vegetation restoring in coal mine susidence area and abandons area in Huaibei City; The first is natural vegetation restoration under artificial condition; The other is artificial vegetation restoration. In artificial vegetation restoration, three kinds were divided into from vegetation's plant pattern; the first is arbor afforestation pattern namely pure artificial woods; the second is bush afforestation pattern; the third is arbor and bush blending afforestation pattern. (3) Survey plotsThe survey on plants growth in abandoned coal mine in Huaibei, shows that there are 19 branches 30 genus and 32 speices plants in this area.Specy in each family is single,basicaly single specy, genus and family.One of the branch has the largest species is the Asteraceae family, it has 8 genera and 11 species, followed by Gramineae and Leguminosae.(4) Different vegetations restoring pattern have different effects on soil character. The effect on 13 vegetation restoring soil character indicates: By the vegetation restoring ,the main physicall components of the soil are the coarse sand (1~0.25 mm) and the fine sand (0.25~0.05 mm). The clay (<0.001 mm> and physical clay (<0.01 mm> in contents of collapse area are lower than thant in restoring area, well restoring in the fencing recovering area is maximal, the second is bush forest area , than relatively the arbor area. Different vegetations restoring time has different effect on soil character,as the vegetations restoring time increase , soil bulk density assumes the declining trend, the porosity assumes enhances the trend, soil bulk density and porosity are inverse correlation with vegetations restoring time; Different vegetations restoring manners has different effect on soil physical nature, the mixed forest has a lower content to pure forest, The mixed forest clay's contentis higher than that of pure forest.(5) Different vegetations restoring pattern have different effects on soil chemicall character .After vegetations restoring, organic matter, available potassium enhance. Grown in 1994,the 46 populus has the highest rganic matte , it is up to 4.21%. The others from high to low in turn are: 146 populus mixed with pyracantha, artificial fencing district, pure 46 populus forest,pure goldenrain forest, weeping willow, locust tree and Chinese juniper forest land. The available potassium content increase is more obvious,the most obvious increase is 146 populus mixed with pyracantha , the content is 132mg/kg . The available phosphorus in vegetations restoring area is lower than bare land ,but not so obvious. The vegetation restored the time has an obvious effect on organci matter,pure populus forest restoering for 15 years, its organic matter incease by 0.95%,the other nutrients are also effect by restoering time.Vegetations restoring pattern effects the soil chemical character varias,content of nutient in mix forest are mostly higher than that in pure forest,while PH in mix forest is lower.
