At present, the polymer prepared water are divided into the following three: fresh water, advanced treatment water and ordinary treatment water in Daqing oil recovery plant. From the investigation in the field and comprehensive analysis of the results we can see that we use advanced water to prepare polymer instead of the using of ordinary water, the viscosity of polymer flooding raise at different degree in the wellhead. Water quality analysis is a conventional project and the water may contain some unknown substances affecting the viscosity of polymer flooding. Therefore, we need comprehensive analysis of the component and the content of the two water to find out the difference between their qualities, and further study to make it clear whether the two factors significantly effecting the viscosity of polymer flooding.According to polymer chemistry and physics and chemistry colloidal principle, this thesis analyzes the quality of the advanced water and ordinary water and their characteristic materials. Moreover, based upon the Physical and chemical properties of the polymer and the water quality and the existing conditions, we study the factors and mechanisms of using sewage (advanced water and ordinary water)to dilute polymer flooding by indoor experimental studies and we find out the main factors and laws which control viscosity decline. From the theoretical and practical point of view, this thesis is of great significance which can guide production in oilfield.The results show that the light solid is the main factor effect the viscosity of polymer solution.
