| OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate the health-related quality of life(HRQOL)scale for amphetamine drug detoxification persons(QLICD-ATS)by modular method.Guided by syndrome differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes of amphetamine drug detoxification persons were studied. The development of dietary medicines for syndromes was carried out,and a randomized controlled trial of dietary intervention of TCM was conducted.METHODS: The QLICD-ATS scale was developed and validated by using the steps of international R&D scale, and its reliability and validity were analyzed.A total of 142 male adolescent drug detoxification persons were enrolled in a randomized controlled trial. They were randomly divided into test group(71 cases)and control group(71 cases).According to the TCM syndrome differentiation before the trial, the test group was given TCM diet and the control group was given conventional diet for 90 days. The main indicator of the effect evaluation was quality of life(QOL)and the secondary indicator of the effect evaluation was TCM syndrome element.RESULTS: A total of 858 amphetamine drug detoxification persons were included in the QLICD-ATS scale. The scale included four domains: physiology, psychology, society and specificity. The Cronbach alpha coefficient was greater than 0.70.The intragroup correlation coefficient ranged from 0.64 to 0.83.After 6 weeks of drug treatment, scores in all domains decreased significantly, and the absolute effect value was more than 1.0,with statistical significance(P<0.05).In the intervention stage of TCM diet therapy,19 subjects dropped out.Finally,123 subjects completed the trial,62 in the test group and 61 in the control group.(1)Assessment of QOL: The difference in the total QOL,physical and psychological domains between the test group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.05);the total QOL and physical domains of the drug detoxification persons in the test group were improved significantly(P < 0.05);the total QOL of the drug detoxification persons in the control group and the QOL in various domains were significantly improved(P<0.05).Among them, the total and psychological QOL in specific domains had statistical significance(P<0.05).(2)Evaluation of TCM syndrome element: There were significant differences in the improvement of Yang deficiency,Qi deficiency,Yang-Qi deficiency,Yin deficiency,Blood deficiency and Yin-Blood deficiency between the test group and the control group(P < 0.05);there were significant differences in the improvement of Qi deficiency,Yin deficiency, blood deficiency and Yin-Blood deficiency in the test group(P<0.05);The syndrome element of Yang deficiency,Qi deficiency,Yang-Qi deficiency,Yin deficiency,Blood deficiency and Yin-Blood deficiency of drug detoxification persons were all aggravated, among which there were significant differences in Yang deficiency,Qi deficiency and Yang-Qi deficiency(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:(1)The QLICD-ATS has good reliability, validity and responsiveness.(2)TCM diet therapy has a significant effect on improving the QOL and health of adolescent drug detoxification persons, especially in the physical and psychological domains, but it is not good in some domains or facets, such as social and special symptoms of amphetamine addiction.(3)TCM diet therapy has obvious advantages in alleviating the deficiency of Yang,Qi,Yin and Blood of adolescent drug detoxification persons.(4)The distribution characteristics of TCM syndrome elements in male amphetamine drug detoxification persons were as follows: kidney,Yin deficiency, liver,Yang deficiency,Qi deficiency, phlegm, dampness,Qi stagnation,Blood deficiency and spleen ranked the top 10. |
