| The study of the categories of traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology formulas is the study of the formulas found in traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology textbooks. The categories of formulas go tightly hand in hand with the application and existence of the formulas. But the classification of the method and quality all follow the development of history and the development of the science that brought about change. Now, pharmacology formulas as an independent science that comes from the basic theory and clinical application, the model of "effective classification" is basically matured and fixed. But in the specific applications and divisions comes a problem. The purpose of this thesis is to find the problems found in the classification of formulas in today's textbooks, to give some suggestions on how to solve these problems, complete a perfect textbook of traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology, help the development of pharmacology, and be able to effectively teach pharmacology to be used in clinical situations.I. Looking back on the categories of formulas in ancient timesThe categorization of formulas in ancient times came from different books. We can classify the formulas into these categories based on: disease, symptoms, cause of disease, viscera, composition, function, lei fang, and using different classifications together. Putting together the classifications stated above, no matter how many, can be put into two groups according to their nature: One is the dependence on the passive. The main characteristic of this category is that it is used according to the different diseases. This category follows the disease, not the formula. Second is the active independent category. It comes from the characteristics of pharmacology which classifies it according to their efficiency. We can also say that it looks at the formula first and then the disease. Only this way can we find many regular patterns between different formulas, which makes it easy to use and gives us an order in which to go by. It also helps us to see the differences between the formulas. This way of classification is one of the important reasons why pharmacology is an independent science today.II. Looking back on the first 1-6 publications of the pharmacology textbooks on formula classification. If we look at the first 6 publications, we can see the differences in the 18-21 categories. In this, the biggest changes can be seen in the following: "Yong Yang Ji", "Biao Li Shuang Jie Ji", and "Qu Shu Ji". Changes can also be seen in smaller sections (second subcategory) classification. The second subcategory of "Jie Biao Ji" has 3-9 differences. Similar to this, in other second subcategories in other units also have many changes. In the application and division (third subcategory), there are many disputes. Some examples are Zhi Gan Cao Decoction, Qiang Huo Sheng Si Decoction , Du Huo Ji Sheng Decoction, Liang Ge Powder, Du Cai Hu Decoction, San Zi Yang Qin Decoction , Dang Gui Liu Huang Bolus , Di Huang Yin Zi,etc... All together, publications 1, 2, and 5 are similar, and publications 3, 4, and 6 are similar to each other.III. The theory of formula classification and the problems in formula classification today.Any classification must follow a certain pattern, and have a standard. The standard of formula classification is efficiency. To come to a rational classification, you must make sure of the step concept of different efficiencies to make a standard which is independent. In the application and division we must use "main syndomes, dominate drugs" method to bring the different formulas into one way of categorization. Comparing the principles stated above, now we can still see some problems in our pharmacology textbooks. The biggest problem is that it does not follow one common standard, and different step are used in classification.IV. Imagination of the classification of formulas. We can see the present situation of formula classification today and in the past follows the principle of fo... |
