The ultraviolet spectrum group was drafted of Actinostemma Griff. crude drugs was tentatively as:petroleum benzine solution 211.40nm;CHCl3 solution 241.00nm(herb), 239.80nm(Dongbeihezicao seed), 240.40nm (Hezicao seed); 80%EtOH solution 208.60nm(herb and seed), addition to 257.70nm(herb). The differenc is unknown to show between kinds.To identify two seeds of crude drugs by protein electrophoresis fingerprints. Result: The fingerprints have quite same alike take, but also exsitses on take the number, to take the worthlies certain difference. The electrophoresis fingerprints may be used to identify different species of Hezicao.The check by thin-layer chromatography and isolated chemical consituents showed that the MeOH exatrat of the herbs producing China contains saponins to have the look alike composition of herbs producing Japan.It contains a large amount of less polar saponins (dammarane triterpene glycosides named actinostemmosides) which stain violet when the plate is sprayed with sulfuric acid followed by heating, and a small amounts of polar saponins(named lobatosides).Quantity analysis the result express the Hezicao of matching of different produing ground to divide in the ash, water-soluble immerse out the thing to contain to measure, the total saponin contain measure to all exsits certaindifference. The ash contains to measure is at 7.30%~10.69%. It is water-soluble to immerse out the thing to measure is at 12.93%~19.46%. The total saponin contents of the leaf is the tallest in the different medicine parts, the total saponin contents of the seed is the lowest. It is different to determine the total saponin contents of the different collection period comparison research the result express, and the total saponin contents of August collection is the tallest in the samples. Making sured to adopt to accept the period, whole herb into the medicine, it is 8~ 9 to collect for proper.
