Referred to the achievement and the practical experience of the domestic and foreign related cities forest research, the concept and the connotation of the urban forest has been summarized by unifying our country city forestry development present situation and the tendency.this article summarized the city forest and the city forestry concept,the connotation. Meanwhile, based on the ecology, the urban ecology, the econology, the conservation of water and soil study, the plant-physiology, forest regulation studied, the environmental economic, the systems dynamics and so on. The elementary theory has conducted the thorough research on the Dalian city forest benefit. First the paper has studied the Dalian city forest common afforestation tree seed's main ecology function benefit, researchering separately its temperature decrease humidification benefit absorbing the SO2 benefit, the fixing carbon and releaseing the oxygen benefit and laying dust benefit.The findings indicated that:Looked from the entire growth season,The average transpiration rate order of common afforested trees determined for Ulms pumila L. > Betula platyphylla Suk > Amygdalus triloba > Fraxinus > Eucommia ulmoides > Forsythia suspensa > Euonymus japonicus. > Acer truncatum > Magnolia denudata > Sophora japonica. In Dalian,various trees will have temperature decreased in July and August as important months.Take the trees attracting and transfering sulfur quantity of the Dalian as standard,so about 61.83 million trees are needed for purifing S02 completely in Dalian.
