Daqing periphery developed oilfields are reservoirs of low permeability, low production and low abundance, as marginal fields with poor economic benefit and great water flooding development challenges. With further water flooding development, more complex issues and problems emerge than normal and water flooding is getting more difficult. The development effect and the economic benefit of such marginal fields, therefore, can be improved only through effective integration of geology study, development design and treatment measures and adopting more efficient comprehensive adjustment policy and measures.In this article, according to the geological features and production performance of the Daqing periphery developed oilfields, a multi-level and multi-factor comprehensive classification method is developed based on reservoir geological classification, taking account of factors of development level classification, development degree classification and economic benefit classification, aiming to formulate comprehensive adjustment policies. The developed blocks are divided into four comprehensive categories. Applying low permeability reservoir non-Darcy filtration theory and modern reservoir engineering methods, the fractured reservoir filtration features are analyzed, the low permeability reservoir effective displacement theory is developed, the imbibition production mechanism model and the injection-production ratio model are established, and the low permeability reservoir recovery factor calculation improvement method is studied. The water flooding development status, production decline laws and remaining oil distribution status in the peripheral developed blocks have been systematically analyzed. A water flooding development adaptability evaluation method is developed, dividing the peripheral developed blocks evaluation into three categories: water injection system and well pattern adaptable, injection-production system inadaptable, and well pattern inadaptable. The peripheral oilfields well pattern infilling adjustment, injection-production system adjustment effect, adjustment mode, limit and potential are studied. The study on the feasibility of production by unconventional measures and field tests are carried out including microbe huff and puff oil displacement, steam huff and puff, and horizontal well infilling water flooding adjustment. The adaptable conditions of development potential of microbe huff and puff oil displacement and steam huff and puff recovery are studied. The feasibility and design technology of horizontal well infilling water flooding development are explored.Basing on this, the comprehensive adjustment policies for each category are formulated and an adjustment disposition for the developed blocks in three years is scheduled. Because of the good orientation and practicability of the project study, it is applied in the adjustment disposition for 2006, 2007 and 2008, and has obtained a comparatively favorable comprehensive adjustment effect and economic benefit.
